State and Local Tax Leader joins the Clearview Team - Christopher Tracy

Baltimore, Maryland – Brian M. Davis, Managing Director and CEO of Clearview Group, LLC has announced the addition of Christopher Tracy as a Principal, where he will join the leadership team of the Firm’s State and Local Tax practice.

Mr. Tracy is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and brings to Clearview significant experience as a multi-state transaction tax consultant. Mr. Tracy specializes in Sales & Use, Virginia Business Professional Occupational License (BPOL), Business License, Gross Receipts, Personal Property, Federal Excise and Employment Taxes. He has represented clients in a variety of industries that range from small, privately held companies to Fortune 100 companies, and has recognized millions of dollars in tax savings for those clients throughout his career.

Mr. Tracy is well versed in the use of valid statistical sampling techniques in the context of sales & use tax audits, and is recognized throughout the industry for his expertise. He is a sought-after lecturer for Lorman Education Services, and regularly serves as an expert witness in Maryland Tax Court.Prior to joining Clearview, Mr. Tracy held the position of Director of State and Local Tax at Altus Group US, Inc (previously SC&H Group, Inc.). During his decade-long tenure, he was responsible for managing all aspects of the firm’s Gross Receipts practice, and managed major aspects of a multi-state Sales & Use Tax practice.Mr. Tracy received a B.S. in Accounting from Towson University. He is a licensed CPA, and holds memberships in the American Institute of CPAs, the Maryland Association of CPAs (and is a member of its State Tax Committee), as well as the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society for Collegiate Schools of Business.
