Mike Buher to Lead Assurance and Advisory Practice

Baltimore, Maryland – Brian M. Davis, Managing Director and CEO of Clearview Group, LLC has announced the addition of Mike Buher as a Director with the firm.  Mr. Buher will be responsible for leading the audit, assurance, advisory, and tax engagements for BD&Co., Inc., a member of Clearview Group.  As the leader of Clearview’s Assurance and Advisory practice, Mr. Buher brings the best of large firm expertise together with a local firm approach.

Mr. Buher comes to Clearview with more than 20 years of experience as an industry leader with both Deloitte & Touche and Grant Thornton, where he served growth-oriented, privately-held clients as well as global strategic clients and public registrants in a variety of industries, including Distribution, Manufacturing, Technology, Life Sciences, and Government Contracting. While at Grant Thornton, Mr. Buher led the Mid-Atlantic Life Science Practice, and was a key member of the firm’s local technology practice leadership group.

In addition to his distinguished career as a practice leader, Mr. Buher has made a significant commitment to the professional development of others. Throughout his career, Mr. Buher has served as an instructor for numerous continuing education sessions, which contributed to improved and focused technical excellence on emerging issues.

Mr. Buher has co-authored numerous articles and publications, and has presented for national webcasts and industry forums focused on emerging trends and business issues. Through that work, Mr. Buher demonstrated a thorough understanding and unique perspective on important issues impacting business owners and leaders.Mr. Buher is active in the community and has served on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Technology Council of Maryland, where he has also served as Audit Committee Chairman. Mr. Buher is also on the Board of Directors of Tabitha’s House in Bel Air, MD, has filled a number of roles with the Boys and Girls Club of Harford County, and serves on the Board of Elders with the Mountain Christian Church in Fallston, MD. Mike graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a member of both the AICPA and MACPA.
