Clearview Expands its DC/NOVA Practice - Wynne Patrick

Baltimore, Maryland – Brian M. Davis, Managing Director and CEO of Clearview Group, LLC has announced the addition of Wynne Patrick as a Manager in the Firm’s Risk Management practice, where she will focus on clients in the DC/Northern Virginia market.“Our planned growth for the next 36 – 48 months has a very strong focus on the DC and Northern Virginia markets,” said Davis.

Ms. Patrick is a highly skilled Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. Wynne has vast experience in developing and executing Internal Audit programs, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance, and performing annual risk and control walkthroughs with management. She has demonstrated the ability to improve the internal control environment through documentation techniques, control testing, development of remediation plans and reporting on the operational effectiveness of the internal control environment. Wynne also serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern Virginia Institute of Internal Auditors.Prior to joining Clearview, Wynne was the Principal Compliance Auditor with ManTech International Corporation in Fairfax, VA. While at ManTech, Wynne managed the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 (SOX) Compliance program from risk assessment/scoping through testing and reporting stages; coordinated with Big-4 external auditors to establish program logistics; performed annual risk and control walkthroughs with management to determine changes to processes and identify where controls were missing or weak; evaluated the annual corporate proxy statement to ensure numerical accuracy prior to distribution to shareholders; created, distributed, and analyzed 500+ results for the annual SOX Control Environment Survey; and more.

Wynne’s past experience includes work with Watkins, Meegan, Drury & Co, L.L.C. in Vienna, VA, where she was a Senior Accountant in the Risk Services group and a Staff and Advanced Staff Accountant in the High Technology and Government Contracting group. Her work included planning, testing, and reporting for SOX and OMB A-123 engagements; analyzing risk and control matrices to develop risk-based audit programs; performing walkthroughs, testing the effectiveness of internal controls, conducting exit conferences, and implementing remediation plans.

Wynne received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Mary Washington. She is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute of Internal Auditors, and is a Past President and current member of the Board of Directors for that group.
